Tra Vinh is a province in the Mekong Delta and home to over 150 Khmer Temples scattered in the surrounding countryside. It surprisingly gets few visitors and you will often find yourself alone at the temple — well you and the monks. What more could a photographer ask for. Tra Vinh city is a good size by Mekong standards and has many food and hotel options. It is well positioned for you to do a loop east on one day and a loop west on another. I find 4 days to be the best, more if you can spare it. Some of my favorite temples are:

- Chùa Sam Rông Ek
- Chùa Koskeoseray (Kos Keo Siri)
- Wat Chhong Pro Lenh (Bralanmanjaya)
The monks at the temples in Tra Vinh are quite friendly if not a bit shy. Lots of great portrait opportunities. Do be respectful of these holy places. Men should not where shorts or tabk tops, women skirts should cover knees and no low cut tops. In Tra Vinh I like the Rose Hotel. It has a nice lobby coffee shop with AC to do your editing and clean big rooms.
