The Cham empire once ruled over much of modern Vietnam and Cambodia. Pushed south by Vietnam and east by the Khmer, the midcoast was the peak and end of their rule. They left behind magnificent towers.

Vaccines arrived later in SE Asia than Europe and the USA. Lockdowns were used to buy time while the population was vaccinated. There were weeks of no leaving your home at all, followed by shopping coupons to go out 2 days per week, and finally checkpoints to restrict movement between districts.
