Mai Chau is a lovely peaceful place. At only 140km from Hanoi it is a popular weekend getaway and nice break from the big city.
Though a mountainous area most of the highlights are in the valleys that are full of rice fields and ethnic villages.
In addition to the landscape photo opportunities the textile and other craft villages like Lac Village make for some great portrait opportunities.
